Fine craftsmanship turns simple materials into a very valuable product:
for Stripes, alternating rings of die-cut grey board and solid board are glued by hand using specially made tools. To open the box, grosgrain ribbon has been embedded in the material on the underside of the lid.
While the rings are flush on the outside of the box, the internal diameters are different, creating the support for the lid. On the ring box, we have raised the support for the wool felt, so there is more room for rings to be inserted securely.
